Experiment

Step 1: Create a couple of prototypes of your team’s chosen idea.
-
This means drawing a rough diagram of your item
-
AND/OR creating a storyboard for your item showing the progression of ideas or images
-
Use paper and pencils, be prepared to rub things out or change ideas
-
Take pictures of your work and upload them to your shared space to save your ideas
Step 2: Get feedback on your prototypes from a few different groups.
-
Can you explain your idea?
-
Does your audience feel or understand what you wanted to communicate?
-
Be open to their ideas, try to stay neutral, be ready to make changes or even start from scratch
Step 3: Choose the prototype that will become your final product. Create a list of specific tasks needed to complete your item.
-
Assign tasks to different people and set deadlines for completion
-
Update your project planner with the new tasks
Step 4: Work out what you need to complete your item
-
What software will you use?
-
What devices (eg. iPad, video camera, sewing machine) are available?
-
Do you need supplies like material, paper, or props and costumes?
