Getting around: Teacher notes
Through participating in these learning activities students will:
- share information about types of transport
- develop acceptance of different perspectives
- view and discuss slide shows with audio and text about transport past and present
- construct inquiry questions
- work collaboratively in a think-pair-share situation
- compare ways of getting around now and in the past to develop an understanding of continuity and change through time
- use their current knowledge to imagine future types of transport
- suggest reasons why some materials used in the past are not used today
- interview a grandparent or older person.
